Zusammenfassung:To provide a secondary battery that has a negative electrode containing a zinc-based material and is excellent in charge-discharge cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A negative electrode for a secondary battery disclosed in the present application includes a zinc-based material and aluminum oxide that is partially dissolved in an alkaline electrolyte. The elution ratio of the aluminum oxide to a 8 mol/L of potassium hydroxide aqueous solution is 5-30% in mass ratio. The aluminum oxide preferably includes χ-alumina or γ-alumina. A secondary battery disclosed in the present application comprises the negative electrode for a secondary battery, a positive electrode, a separator, and an alkaline electrolyte.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】亜鉛系材料を含有する負極を有し、充放電サイクル特性に優れた二次電池を提供する。【解決手段】本願で開示する二次電池用負極は、亜鉛系材料と、アルカリ電解液に一部が溶解するアルミニウム酸化物とを含み、前記アルミニウム酸化物は、8mol/Lの水酸化カリウム水溶液に対する溶出割合が、質量比で5〜30%であり、前記アルミニウム酸化物は、χ−アルミナ又はγ−アルミナを含むことが好ましい。また、本願で開示する二次電池は、上記二次電池用負極、正極、セパレータおよびアルカリ電解液を備えている。【選択図】図1
