Zusammenfassung:	To provide an inexpensive leg capable of improving convenience during transportation/storage, rich in functionality and so easy to handle when used, and a workbench.SOLUTION: In a leg of a workbench 1 and the workbench, a side plate assembly 10, which is made of a thermoplastic resin and which is formed by turnably connecting two or more side plates 11 with a plurality of connection parts 11g to side surface parts 11z at both ends by a connection member, is constituted as the single side plate assembly 10 or constituted by combining the plurality of side plate assemblies 10 together.
