To provide an energy-saving and environmentally friendly dryer or the like that can be installed in an area with an underdeveloped infrastructure.SOLUTION: A drying device 1 comprises: a cooling part 2 that removes moisture contained in outdoor air G1 by letting the outdoor air flow in the ground or in water and be cooled; a heating part 4 that heats outdoor air G2 flowing from the cooling part using sunlight S; and a drying part 5 that dries a drying object M using outdoor air G3 flowing from the heating part. The drying part can dry the drying object by letting the outdoor air flowing from the heating part flow through the drying object from the lower part through the upper part thereof, in a storage container or a storage site 5. The drying device comprises blowers 3, 6 that convey outdoor air G1 to G4, and sunlight may be used as a power source of the blowers.
