To provide a printer having a plurality of mounting postures at which printing operation can be executed.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a housing 10, a discharge port 29, and a motor 45. The housing 10 can be mounted on a horizontal mounting table even in any posture of a first posture and a second posture. The first posture is a posture of the housing 10 in which a circular plane 18 of the housing 10 faces the mounting table. The second posture is a posture of the housing 10 in which a side surface 10A of the housing 10 faces the mounting table. The discharge port 29 is provided on the side surface 10A of the housing 10. Even though the housing 10 is mounted on the mounting table in any posture of the first posture and the second posture, the discharge port 29 discharges a printing medium stored inside the housing 10 to the outside. The motor 45 functions as posture maintenance means for maintaining the posture of the housing 10 in the second posture when the side surface 10A faces the mounting table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 【課題】印刷動作が実行可能となる載置姿勢が複数ある印刷装置を提供する。【解決手段】印刷装置１は、筐体１０、排出口２９、及びモータ４５を備える。筐体１０は、第一姿勢と第二姿勢のいずれの姿勢でも、水平な載置台に載置可能である。第一姿勢は、筐体１０の円形平面１８が載置台と対向する筐体１０の姿勢である。第二姿勢は、筐体１０の側面１０Ａが載置台に対向する筐体１０の姿勢である。排出口２９は、筐体１０の側面１０Ａに設けられる。筐体１０が第一姿勢と第二姿勢のいずれの姿勢で載置台に載置されていても、筐体１０の内側で収容されていた印刷媒体を排出口２９は外部に排出する。モータ４５は、側面１０Ａが載置台と対向するとき、筐体１０の姿勢を第二姿勢で維持する姿勢維持手段として機能する。【選択図】図８
