【課題】運転支援制御の実行中におけるトラクション制御の実行頻度を小さくすることにより、運転支援制御の実行中に運転者が違和感を感じる可能性を低減させることが可能な運転支援装置を提供する。【解決手段】運転支援装置は、トラクション制御を実行するトラクション制御手段と、追従車間距離制御を実行する追従車間距離制御手段と、を備える。追従車間距離制御手段は、追従車間距離制御を実行している間、自車両が走行している道路の路面摩擦係数を推定する。更に、追従車間距離制御手段は、追従車間距離制御における目標加速度が所定の閾値よりも大きいか否かを判定する。追従車間距離制御手段は、目標加速度が所定の閾値よりも大きいとの判定がなされた特定時点において、前記推定された路面摩擦係数に対応する加速度以下の加速度を目標加速度として設定して追従車間距離制御を実行する。【選択図】図3 |
