Zusammenfassung: | To provide controlled and sustained administration of a therapeutic agent, such as a protein through the administration of one or more microparticles, that may improve treatment of conditions, such as undesirable ocular conditions, where the microspheres can be formulated to provide a sustained release of a protein while reducing the number of protein aggregates, achieving desirable release profiles, and increasing stability of the protein within the microsphere formulations.SOLUTION: A composition of matter comprises particles. The particles comprise a protein, a biodegradable polymer, and one or more excipients. The particles may be configured to deliver the protein for a period of two months or more. In some embodiments, the biodegradable polymer comprises poly(d,l-lactide-co-glycolide), poly(d,l-lactide), and/or polyethylene glycol copolymers with an inherent viscosity in the range of 0.1 dL/g to 1.0 dL/g.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
