To provide a railway vehicle comprising an observation seat chamber having a front window and a side window for observation and a driver seat chamber provided at an upper part of the observation seat chamber, in which a thermal environment in the observation seat chamber can be improved.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle comprises: an observation seat chamber 1 having a front window 11 and a side window 12 for observation; a driver seat chamber 2 provided at an upper part of the observation seat chamber; a general seat chamber 3 which is provided adjacent to the observation seat chamber; and air conditioner 31 which is located on a roof body structure of the general seat chamber, and supplies conditioning air. This railway vehicle further comprises: a first air-conditioning duct 32 which is located in a ceiling space of the general seat chamber in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and is connected to the air conditioner; and a second air-conditioning duct 21 which is connected to the first air-conditioning duct, is located near a side body structure 4 of a lower part of the side window in the driver seat chamber, and is provided in the vehicle longitudinal direction to a vicinity of the front window of the observation seat chamber. On a ceiling part 5 in the observation seat chamber, plural air outlets 6, which are branched from the second air-conditioning duct 21 and blow conditioning air into the observation seat chamber, are continuously provided along the side window of the observation seat chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】展望用の前面窓と側窓とを有する展望席室と、当該展望席室の上部に設けた運転席室とを備えた鉄道車両において、展望席室における温熱環境を向上させ得る鉄道車両を提供する。【解決手段】展望用の前面窓１１と側窓１２とを有する展望席室１と、展望席室の上部に設けた運転席室２と、展望席室と隣接して設けた一般席室３と、一般席室の屋根構体上に設置し調和空気を供給する空調機３１とを備えた。一般席室における天井裏に車両前後方向へ配設され空調機と連結された第１空調ダクト３２と、第１空調ダクトと連結され運転席室における側窓下部の側構体４寄りに配設され且つ展望席室の前面窓の近傍まで車両前後方向へ配設された第２空調ダクト２１とを備えた。展望席室における天井部５には、第２空調ダクト２１から分岐され展望席室内へ調和空気を吹き出す複数の吹出口６を、展望席室の側窓に沿って連続状に設けた。【選択図】 図１
