METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING DEGRADATION OF LUBRICANT, AND SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING LUBRICANT OF ROTARY MACHINE

To provide a method for diagnosing the degradation of a lubricant that can diagnose the degradation of the additive of a lubricant, and a system and a method for monitoring the lubricant of a rotary machine.SOLUTION: According to the method, the concentration of the additive of a lubricant is determined using chromaticity data obtained based on measurement data of an optical sensor and the degradation of the lubricant is diagnosed based on the concentration. The system of monitoring a lubricant includes an optical sensor, an input device, a processor, a storage, and an output device. The storage stores the concentration of the additive of the lubricant obtained by the optical sensor in time sequence.
