Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air electrode capable of preventing a conductive distance between a current collector and a catalyst surface on which electrode reaction proceeds from being lengthened and inhibiting discharge characteristics from being reduced.SOLUTION: An air electrode of the present invention includes: a current collector having an internal space; and an air electrode catalyst layer provided in the internal space of the current collector. The air electrode catalyst layer which is equal to or more than 90 vol% is provided in the internal space of the current collector. Moreover, a metal air battery which includes the air electrode, a metal electrode, and an electrolyte is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】本発明は、集電体と、電極反応が進行する触媒表面との間の導電距離が長くなることを防止することができ、放電特性の低下を抑制することができる空気極を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の空気極は、内部空間を有する集電体と、前記集電体の内部空間に設けられた空気極触媒層とを備え、前記空気極触媒層の90vol%以上が前記集電体の内部空間に設けられることを特徴とする。また、本発明は、本発明の空気極と、金属極と、電解質とを備えた金属空気電池も提供する。【選択図】図1
