Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack-and-pinion type steering device that is capable of a suppressing effect of backlash caused by an axial load imposed on a pinion shaft, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A bearing fixing member 53 comprises: a first annular member 81 that can be expanded in diameter and that is arranged on the inner diameter side of an annular groove 23; and a second annular member 91 that is fitted to the inner-diameter side of the first annular member 81. The bottom surface of the annular groove 23 has a tapered surface 231 inclined in a direction away from the axis of a pinion shaft 107 toward a downward direction. The outer peripheral surface of the first annular member 81 has a tapered surface 814 inclined in a direction away from the axis of the pinion shaft 107 toward the downward direction. The first annular member 81 is expanded in diameter by the fitting of the second annular member 91, and the tapered surface 814 is pressed to the tapered surface 231 of the annular groove 23 by the being expanded in diameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
【課題】ピニオン軸に負荷されるアキシアル荷重に起因するがたつきの抑制効果を向上させることができるラックアンドピニオン式ステアリング装置、およびラックアンドピニオン式ステアリング装置の製造方法を提供すること。【解決手段】軸受固定部材53は、環状溝23の内径側に配置され拡径可能な第1環状部材81と、第1環状部材81の内径側に嵌合される第2環状部材91とからなり、環状溝23の底面は、下方に向かうに従いピニオン軸107の軸線から離間する方向に傾斜するテーパ面231を有し、第1環状部材81の外周面は、下方に向かうに従いピニオン軸107の軸線から離間する方向に傾斜するテーパ面814を有し、第1環状部材81は、第2環状部材91の前記嵌合によって拡径し、テーパ面814が該拡径により環状溝23のテーパ面231に押し付けられている。【選択図】図3 |
