Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel which prevents the intrusion of water from a fitting face between a slinger and an inner ring, and is excellent in durability.SOLUTION: In a bearing device for a wheel having a sealing device 12 for blocking an inner-side opening end part of an annular space 88 existing between an outer ring 81 and an inner ring 96, the sealing device 12 has an encoder 20. The encoder 20 comprises: a pulser part 21 which is formed of a rubber magnet, and fixed to a flange part 25 of a slinger 14, and in which an S-pole and an N-pole are alternately formed in a peripheral direction; and a cover part 26 which is continued to an internal periphery of the pulser part 21, and extends to the inside of a radial direction from an external peripheral face of the inner ring 96 which is fit with the slinger 14. A first protrusion 29 and a second protrusion 31 which annularly protrude, and contact with the inner ring 96 are coaxially formed at a face of the cover part 26 opposing the inner ring 96. The first protrusion 29 is smaller than the second protrusion 31 in a diameter, and an annular space 35 is formed between the first protrusion 29 and the second protrusion 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】スリンガと内輪との篏合面からの水の浸入を防止して、耐久性に優れた車輪用軸受装置を提供する。【解決手段】外輪81と内輪96との間に存在する環状空間88のインナ側開口端部を塞ぐ密封装置12を備えた車輪用軸受装置において、密封装置12はエンコーダ20を有する。エンコーダ20は、ゴム磁石製で、スリンガ14のフランジ部25に固定されるとともに周方向にS極とN極が交互に形成されるパルサ部21と、パルサ部21の内周につながってスリンガ14が嵌め合わされる内輪96の外周面より径方向内方に延在するカバー部26とを備えている。カバー部26の、内輪96と対向する面には、それぞれ環状に突出して内輪96と接触する第1突起29と第2突起31とが同軸に形成されている。第1突起29は第2突起31より小径で、第1突起29と第2突起31との間に環状の空間35が形成されている。【選択図】図1 |
