PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of preventing deterioration of strength in an insulator layer and an electronic component device.SOLUTION: External electrodes 5 and 7 include: electrode parts 5a and 7a which are arranged to end surfaces 2a and 2b; electrode parts 5b and 7b which are arranged to each pair of first side surfaces 2c and 2d respectively; and an electrode part which is arranged to each pair of second side surfaces. A third electrode part arranged to one second side surface is exposed from an insulator layer IL. The insulator layer IL covers the electrode parts 5a and 7a, the electrode parts 5b and 7b, and an exposure region exposed from the electrode parts 5b and 7b on the pair of first side surfaces 2c and 2d. An average thickness Tb of the insulation layer IL is larger than that of the insulation layer part ILb covering the electrode parts 5b and 7b and the exposure region.
