Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web repair system and web repair method which can automatically repair a defective portion of a web accurately and quickly.SOLUTION: A conveyance control unit 64 stops a web 12 being conveyed under the physical relation in which a defective portion 30 exists within a search range R where an attachment machine 50 can move. An imaging control unit 70 causes a camera 52 to sequentially execute "the first movement operation" of moving to a scan start position P1 and "the imaging operation" of imaging the inside of the search range R of the web 12 being in conveyance stop along an X2 axis direction.
