【課題】待機状態における消費電力を抑制し、かつ使い勝手の低下を抑制することができる手乾燥装置を提供する。【解決手段】手が挿入可能な手挿入部と、手挿入部内の複数の検出位置において挿入された手の検出を行う手検出部と、手挿入部内に風を吹き出すための吹き出し口と、吹き出し口に気体を供給する気体供給部と、手検出部をオン状態とオフ状態とに周期的に切り替え、手検出信号が非検出状態から検出状態に切り替わった場合に気体供給部を動作させ、手検出信号が検出状態から非検出状態に切り替わった場合に気体供給部の動作を停止させる制御部と、を備え、制御部は、通常モードと、オフ時間が通常モードよりも長い第1低消費モードと、を有し、かつ、第1低消費モードにおいては、手の検出を行うタイミングが複数の検出位置のそれぞれにおいて重ならないようにすることを特徴とする手乾燥装置である。【選択図】図1 |
