Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting gas or liquid, which allows for detecting low-concentration unsaturated hydrocarbons while providing enhanced selectivity on gas or liquid to be detected.SOLUTION: A method of detecting gas or liquid comprises steps of; irradiating unsaturated hydrocarbons containing a chemical structure element having at least either of a halogen atom or hetero atom with ultraviolet rays; detecting, in the ultraviolet rays being irradiated, absorptions of light associated with at least π-πtransition amongst π-πtransition and n-πtransition of the unsaturated hydrocarbons; and detecting gas or liquid based on the detected absorptions of light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】検出されるガスまたは液体の選択性を高めながら、低濃度の不飽和炭化水素類を検出することが可能なガスまたは液体の検出方法を提供する。【解決手段】このガスまたは液体の検出方法は、ハロゲン原子およびヘテロ原子のうちの少なくとも一方を有する化学構造要素を含む不飽和炭化水素類に紫外線を照射する工程と、照射された紫外線における、不飽和炭化水素類のπ-π*遷移およびn-π*遷移のうちの少なくともπ-π*遷移を伴う光の吸収を検出する工程と、検出された光の吸収に基づいて、ガスまたは液体の検出を行う工程とを備える。【選択図】図1
