THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING METHOD AND THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printing method and a thermal transfer printing device that reduce the running cost for an ink ribbon by an n-fold mode and also form images of good quality on photographic paper.SOLUTION: An ink ribbon 5 including a dye layer and photographic paper 7 are put one over the other and conveyed between a thermal head 1 and a platen roll 2, and the thermal head 1 heats the ink ribbon 5 based upon image data and transfers dye to form an image on the photographic paper 7. A method comprises the processes of: finding a first magnification of a conveyance speed of the photographic paper 7 to a conveyance speed of the ink ribbon 5 based upon a type of the ink ribbon 5; finding a second magnification of a conveyance speed of the photographic paper 7 to a conveyance speed of the ink ribbon 5 based upon the image data; and determining a conveyance speed of the photographic paper 7 and ink ribbon 5 based upon the first magnification and second magnification, and conveying the photographic paper 7 and ink ribbon 5 at the determined conveyance speed to form the image on the photographic paper 7.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】ｎ倍モードによりインクリボンのランニングコストを削減すると共に、印画紙に良質な画像を形成する熱転写印画方法及び熱転写印画装置を提供する。【解決手段】染料層を含むインクリボン５及び印画紙７を重ね合わせて、サーマルヘッド１とプラテンロール２との間を搬送させるとともに、サーマルヘッド１が画像データに基づいてインクリボン５を加熱し、染料を転写して印画紙７に画像を形成する。インクリボン５の種類に基づいて、インクリボン５の搬送速度に対する印画紙７の搬送速度の第１倍率を求める工程と、画像データに基づいて、インクリボン５の搬送速度に対する印画紙の搬送速度７の第２倍率を求める工程と、第１倍率及び第２倍率に基づいて、印画紙７及びインクリボン５の搬送速度を決定し、決定した搬送速度で印画紙７及びインクリボン５を搬送して印画紙７に画像を形成する工程と、を備える。【選択図】図１
