PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement material having a high concentration of silica concentration, in order to enhance the soil strengthening power and in order to improve the soil improvement performance.SOLUTION: This chemical solution 1 comprises an acidic silica sol solution 6 having a silica concentration of 13(w/v)% or more and 15(w/v)% or less, obtained by incorporating water 3 into water-glass 2 having a mole ratio ([SiO]/[NaO]) of 3.6 or more and 3.8 or less to produce diluted water-glass 4, and mixing and agitating the diluted water-glass 4 and acid 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 【課題】地盤の強化力を高め、地盤改良性能を向上させるために、シリカ濃度が高濃度の地盤改良材を得ること。【解決手段】この薬液１は、モル比（［ＳｉＯ２］／［Ｎａ２Ｏ］）が３．６以上かつ３．８以下である水ガラス２に水３を配合して希釈水ガラス４とし、その希釈水ガラス４と酸５とを混合し撹拌して得た、シリカ濃度が１３（ｗ／ｖ）％以上かつ１５（ｗ／ｖ）％以下の酸性シリカゾル溶液６を含む。【選択図】図１
