Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly detect a failure of an optical modulator in an optical transmitter.SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes a transmission unit 20 including: a tunable transmission light source 202; an optical modulator 203; a measurement unit 205; a determination unit 206; and an output unit 207. The optical modulator 203 modulates light from the tunable transmission light source 202, by using an electric signal. The measurement unit 205 measures power of an optical signal output from the optical modulator 203, for each of a plurality of different measurement bands narrower than a frequency band of the modulated optical signal. The determination unit 206 determines, for each measurement band, whether or not the power measured by the measurement unit 205 is within a predetermined range. The output unit 207 outputs information showing a failure of the optical modulator 203 when the power measured by the measurement unit 205 is not within a predetermined range.
【課題】光送信装置の光変調器の故障を迅速に検出する。【解決手段】通信装置の送信部20は、チューナブル送信光源202と、光変調器203と、測定部205と、判定部206と、出力部207とを有する。光変調器203は、電気信号によりチューナブル送信光源202からの光を変調する。測定部205は、光変調器203から出力された光信号の電力を、変調された光信号の周波数帯域よりも狭い複数の異なる測定帯域毎に測定する。判定部206は、測定帯域毎に、測定部205が測定した電力が所定範囲内か否かを判定する。出力部207は、測定部205が測定した電力が所定範囲内にない場合に、光変調器203の故障を示す情報を出力する。【選択図】図3 |
