Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which has excellent heat dissipation property.SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: a base substrate 10; a plurality of semiconductor laser elements 20 provided on the base substrate so as to laterally emit light; a reflection member 70 provided on the base substrate, for reflecting light beams from the plurality of semiconductor laser elements; an enclosure part 30 provided on the base substrate, for enclosing the plurality of semiconductor elements and the reflection member; a wiring part 40 which is provided on the base substrate to extend to the outside of the enclosure part and electrically connected to the plurality of semiconductor laser elements; a heat dissipator 50 which contains at least one of metal and ceramic and has an opening provided on the enclosure part; and a wavelength conversion member 60 provided in the opening of the heat dissipator, for converting the wavelength of light beams of the plurality of semiconductor laser elements, which are reflected upward by the reflection member. 【課題】放熱性に優れた発光装置を提供する。【解決手段】基体10と、光が側方へ出射するよう前記基体上に設けられた複数の半導体レーザ素子20と、前記基体上に設けられ、前記複数の半導体レーザ素子からの光を反射する反射部材70と、前記基体上に設けられ、前記複数の半導体レーザ素子及び前記反射部材を囲む囲み部30と、前記基体上において前記囲み部の外側まで延伸するよう設けられ、前記複数の半導体レーザ素子に電気的に接続される配線部40と、金属又はセラミックの少なくとも一方を含む、前記囲み部上に設けられた開口を有する放熱体50と、前記放熱体の開口に設けられ、前記反射部材において上方に向けて反射された前記複数の半導体レーザ素子の光を波長変換する波長変換部材60と、を備える。【選択図】図1
