When performing the purge work, the first purge cover 7 covers the injection nozzle 1 so that it is not exposed, and the first purge cover 7 and second purge cover 8 cover the front part of the heating cylinder 2, and the front part heater 3 attached to the front part of the heating cylinder so that they are not exposed. 【課題】パージ作業を行うときヒータが外側に露出してしまうことを防止する。【解決手段】加熱シリンダ2と、射出ノズル1と、加熱シリンダ2の外周前方部に装着された前部ヒータ3と、前部ヒータ3よりも後方に位置する加熱シリンダ2の後方部、及び当該加熱シリンダ2の後方部に装着された後部ヒータ12を覆うヒータカバー4と、パージ作業を行うときに射出ノズル1から排出される溶融樹脂の飛散を防止するパージカバーと、を備えた射出成形機であって、パージカバーは、第1パージカバー7と、第1パージカバー7にスライド自在に設けられた第2パージカバー8とから構成され、パージ作業を行うとき、第1パージカバー7により射出ノズル1が露出しないように覆われると共に、第1パージカバー7及び第2パージカバー8により、加熱シリンダ2の前方部、及び当該加熱シリンダ2の前方部に装着された前部ヒータ3が露出しないように覆われる。【選択図】図2
