UNDERPANTS TYPE WEARING ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type wearing article which has a side seal part which has an excellent appearance and is excellent in flexibility and in a texture and hardly causes lateral tear in tearing the side seal part.SOLUTION: An underpants type wearing article 1 includes an exterior body 3 forming an outer surface, and has a pair of side seal parts 4, a waist opening part 8, and a pair of leg opening parts 9 which are formed by joining both side edge parts of the exterior body in a front body F and both side edge parts of the exterior body in a rear body R. The side seal part 4 has a seal edge part 41 in which an edge part 3F of the exterior body 3 in the front body F and an edge part of the exterior body 3 in the rear body R are joined at a continuous linear fusion part 40 that extends in a longitudinal direction of the side seal part 4. The fusion part 40 has a narrow width part 4F in which a width W in an inward-outward direction P is narrow in a central part in a thickness direction Q in a cross section perpendicular to a direction in which the side seal part 4 extends, and the narrow width part 4F has wide width parts 4A, 4B having the width W that is wider than the narrow width part 4F on both sides with the narrow width part 4F in between in the thickness direction Q. 【課題】外観に優れ、柔軟性又は肌触りに優れたサイドシール部を有しており、サイドシール部を引き裂く際に横裂けも生じにくいパンツ型着用物品を提供する。【解決手段】外面を形成する外装体３を備え、前身頃Ｆにおける外装体の両側縁部と後身頃Ｒにおける外装体の両側縁部とが接合されて一対のサイドシール部４、ウエスト開口部８及び一対のレッグ開口部９が形成されているパンツ型着用物品１であり、サイドシール部４は、前身頃Ｆにおける外装体３の縁部３Ｆと後身頃Ｒにおける外装体３の縁部が、サイドシール部４の長手方向に延在する連続線状の融着部４０で結合したシール縁部４１を有しており、融着部４０は、サイドシール部４が延びる方向と直交する断面において、厚さ方向Ｑの中央部に、内外方向Ｐに沿う幅Ｗが狭い幅狭部４Ｆを有し、幅狭部４Ｆは、厚み方向Ｑにおいて幅狭部４Ｆを挟む両側に、前記幅Ｗが幅狭部４Ｆより広い幅広部４Ａ，４Ｂを有する。【選択図】図４
