Besides, a cooling water flow path 5a through which a cooling water for cooling a roll outer peripheral face 5b flows is formed inside the cooling roll 5. The hydraulic cylinder 6 preferably presses the cooling roll 5 so that the surface pressure between the belt-like metal 4 and the roll outer peripheral face 5b of the cooling roll 5 becomes 100 to 1,000 MPa. 【課題】変態点以上の温度の帯状金属を、冷却ガスを噴きつけて変態点以上の温度まで冷却する従来の方法よりも高い冷却速度で冷却する冷却装置を提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】変態点以上の温度の帯状金属4を冷却する冷却装置3に関する。前記帯状金属4を圧延する一対の冷却ロール5,5と、前記一対の冷却ロール5,5を互いに圧接させる油圧シリンダ6と、を備えている。そして、前記冷却ロール5の内部には、ロール外周面5bを冷却する冷却水が流れる冷却流路5aが形成されている。前記油圧シリンダ6は、前記帯状金属4と前記冷却ロール5のロール外周面5bとの面圧を100〜1000MPaとなるように押圧することが好ましい。【選択図】図1
