PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device capable of performing further certain protection processing in consideration of an execution state of fault diagnosis.SOLUTION: A microcomputer, when driving and controlling a motor, divides an execution state of each diagnosis into a plurality of states with respect to a plurality of fault diagnosis items executed in parallel with the drive control, and preliminarily sets priorities different from each other for the respective divided execution states to a table. In addition, when abnormalities are determined at the plurality of fault diagnosis items, the priorities of the respective execution states are compared with each other, and a protection function at the execution state, of the fault diagnosis item having a higher priority is executed preferentially. 【課題】故障診断の実行状態も考慮して、より確実な保護処理を行うことができるモータ制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】マイコンは、モータを駆動制御する際に、その駆動制御に並行して実行される複数の故障診断項目について、各診断の実行状態を複数の状態に区分し、区分した各実行状態についてそれぞれ異なる優先度を予めテーブルに設定する。そして、複数の故障診断項目で異常が判定されると、それぞれの実行状態の優先度を比較して、優先度が高い故障診断項目のその実行状態における保護機能を優先して実行させる。【選択図】図１
