Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device which illuminates not only under the illumination device but also in the front direction of the illumination device, which radiates light in a wide range by using a light guide plate in place of a reflection plate and which can perform an excellent appearance.SOLUTION: As light made incident from an incident end surface is mainly diffused by a plurality of diffusion dots provided on a light guide member 40, the light is radiated from a first plane part, a curved part and a second plane part, and light can be radiated to a wide range from a front surface side to a direction obliquely lower backward. In this way, one illumination device 20 can play both a role of a direct illumination to the front surface side and a role of an indirect illumination by the light reflected on a rear wall surface and the like. At this time, as the first plane part and the second plane part are smoothly connected by the curved part, light having a soft impression can be radiated continuously, and an excellent appearance can be given. 【課題】照明装置の下部だけでなく、照明装置の正面方向を照らすと共に、反射板に代えて導光板を用いることで、広範囲に光を照射すると共に、優れた美観を演出することができる照明装置を提供する。【解決手段】入射端面から入射された光が主に導光部材40に設けられた複数の拡散ドットで拡散されることにより、光が第一平面部、湾曲部及び第二平面部から照射されることになり、前面側から下斜め後方向に至る広い範囲に光を照射することができる。こうすることにより、前面側への直接照明としての役割と後方の壁面等に反射した光による間接照明としての役割との両方の役割を一つの照明装置20で果たすことができる。このとき、湾曲部によって第一平面部と第二平面部とが滑らかに連接されているため、連続的に柔らかな印象を有する光を照射することができ、優れた美観を与えることができる。【選択図】図1
