CRIMPING TERMINAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimping terminal capable of properly restraining moisture from entering into an exposed conductor portion of a coated conductor wire while restraining strength reduction or deformation.SOLUTION: A crimping terminal 10 according to the present invention comprises a crimping part 12 that can house and crimp a tip including an exposed conductor portion 52 of a coated conductor wire 50. The crimping part 12 has an overlaid portion 22 formed by bending a plate material 82 into a cylindrical shape so that two edges 15, 16 are made to approach each other, and formed at one end of the cylindrical shape by crushing. The two edges 15, 16 are jointed by welding, and the overlaid portion 22 is sealed by a jointing method using a portion 34 of the plate material 82 other than portions 28, 30 constituting the overlaid portion 22, or the other member 102.
