HUMIDIFIER AND HUMIDIFYING AIR CLEANER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier and a humidifying air cleaner that can maintain high water absorbing performance for a long period.SOLUTION: There is provided a humidifier which includes air blowing means 15 and a ventilation part 18 as a part of a humidifying filter 16 in a ventilation path 14 linking an air intake 11 and an air outlet 12 to each other, and has the humidifying filter 16 composed of the ventilation part 18, an immersion part 17, and a non-ventilation part 19, the humidifier being capable of performing stable water supply and evaporation for a long period since at least a part of the non-ventilation part 19 is brought into contact with a partition wall 22 and thereby even if scale components included in city water are deposited on the ventilation part 18 to impede water absorption, deposition of scale components at the non-ventilation part 19 is hardly caused and water absorption is not impeded. Further, the position of the non-ventilation part is stably fixed and the water absorption amount and water absorption speed of the non-ventilation part are improved by making good use of capillarity in a slight gap between the non-ventilation part and partition wall.
