Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for stacking and sealing hydrodynamic separation layers.SOLUTION: A hydrodynamic separation device 10 comprises: a plurality of layers 14 in a stack, each layer 14 having a flow channel for classification thereinto, an inlet to the flow channel, at least two outlets for the flow channel, and apertures defined in the layer 14; a first plate 16 positioned on a first end of the stack and having apertures; a second plate 18 positioned on a second end of the stack and having apertures; and connectors 22 received in aligned apertures of the stack, the first plate 16 and the second plate 18 to compress together the first plate 16, stack and second plate 18.
