Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing metal nitride with high purity at low cost and in good yield by a simple process.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing nitride of one or more metal selected from lithium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium comprises a step of heating, at 100 to 1500°C, a composition which is composed of amide (A) of one or more metal selected from lithium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium, and one or more metal (B) selected from lithium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium, and in which the molar ratio (A:B) of the metal amide (A) and the metal (B) is 1:0.01 to 1:5.
