Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite positive electrode active material, method of preparing the composite positive electrode active material, and a positive electrode and a lithium battery containing the composite positive electrode active material.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a composite positive electrode active material which includes an over-lithiated lithium transition metal oxide having a layered structure and in which metal cations are doped into a Li ion layer of a LiMnOphase. In a lithium battery containing the composite positive electrode active material, charging and discharging proceed in a high-voltage environment, so that a change in a discharge curve is suppressed, and thus capacity and life characteristics can be improved.
