FIXING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a fixing part from being damaged, when a cover is opened, without damaging the conveyance performance of a sheet and without making a removal order.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes the fixing part pressurizing a recording medium on which an unfixed image is formed at a fixing nip, for fixation, a frame holding the fixing part, the cover provided in the frame, to be rotatable around a first rotation center and covering the fixing part, and a conveyance guide provided to be rotatable around a second rotation center different from the first rotation center on the side of the first rotation center with respect to the fixing nip and guiding the recording medium to the fixing nip. The conveyance guide is engaged with the cover, regulated so that the conveyance guide does not interfere with the fixing part, when the cover is rotated around the first rotation center, and rotated around the second rotation center.
