Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for a surface protective material having excellent adhesiveness and extensibility, further being favourably suppressed increase of adhesiveness, and capable of providing the surface protective material hardly leaving adhesive residues when peeling from a protection target.SOLUTION: There is provided an adhesive for a surface protective material containing a block copolymer composition consisting of a block copolymer A represented by the formula (A) and a block copolymer B represented by the formula (B), and a tackifier resin, and having a weight ratio (A/B) of the block copolymer A and the block copolymer B in the block copolymer composition of 10/90 to 90/10. Ar1-D-Ar2(A) (Ar-D)n-X (B), where Ar1, Ar2and Arare each a specific aromatic vinyl polymer block, Dand Dare specific conjugated diene polymer blocks, X is a single bond or a residue of a coupling agent and n is an integer of 2 or more.
