Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for producing sodium bicarbonate which can recover high-purity NaHCOfrom NaCl-containing water.SOLUTION: A method for producing sodium bicarbonate includes a recovery step of passing NaCl-containing water containing NaCl and carbonic acid substances through a packed tower 58 packed with an anion exchange resin to recover NaHCO. When the NaCl-containing water is passed through the packed tower 58 packed with the anion exchange resin, the pH of the NaCl-containing water is adjusted according to a ratio of the amount of Clions to the amount of total carbonic acid substances other than free carbon dioxide contained in the NaCl-containing water.
