Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with labor for manufacture of a mold, and to restrain a defect from appearing on a surface of a casting.SOLUTION: A sand mold 10 is formed of coarse grains 11 and particulates 12. Thus, the sand mold 10 has a minute packing structure in which the particulates 12 are interposed among the coarse grains 11. The particulates 12 among the coarse grains 11 prevent molten metal from being inserted among the coarse grains 11. In addition, the particulates 12 among the coarse grains 11 are formed of a material higher in air permeability than the coarse grains 11, and gas generated in the sand mold 10 is vented.
