IMAGE READING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which: a conventional image reading device includes a plurality of setting registers to reduce a setting switching time of a reading parameter between documents; however, the configuration results in an increase in the size of a logic circuit, which reduces versatility of the logic circuit and firmware performing image processing for each document.SOLUTION: An image reading device 2 includes a reading mechanism unit 13, an image processing unit 14, a memory 15, and a parameter control unit 16. The parameter control unit 16, after completion of image reading processing on the current page, reads out a reading parameter 15a of the subsequent page stored in the memory 15 and provides the read-out parameter directly to the reading mechanism unit 13, and after completion of image processing of the current page, reads out an image processing parameter 15b of the subsequent page stored in the memory 15 and provides the read-out parameter directly to the image processing unit 14.
