description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which color filters can be manufactured with no waste of a base material because any fault part arising during printing by an ink jet method can be removed without affecting the base material and the reprinting of the fault part can be carried out again after restoring the fault part.SOLUTION: A color filter manufacturing method comprises: (a) a step of forming a receptive layer by coating a transparent base with a photo-curable transparent resin composition; (b) a step of printing the receptive layer with ink jet ink; (c) a checkup step of checking up for any fault in printing; and (g) a step of forming a pixel pattern on the transparent base by irradiation with ultraviolet rays. If any fault in printing is found in (c) the checkup step, (d) a step of peeling off the receptive layer, (e) a step of coating with the transparent resin composition again, and (f) a step of printing with ink jet ink, are carried out again to form the pixel pattern in (g) the photo-curing step via (c) the checkup step.
