RECEIVING DEVICE AND INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that capacity which can be sent at once as auxiliary information is limited, in a data broadcasting system for broadcasting the auxiliary information by using VBI of low information transmission capability.SOLUTION: Broadcast information received from a broadcast network is temporarily recorded in storage means of a broadcast receiving device, and a recording medium storing auxiliary information complementing the broadcast information is set. The broadcast information and the auxiliary information are cooperatively reproduced at predetermined timing. Thus, information that cannot be placed within a broadcast frame can be provided, and a parental control function can be implemented.
