DEVELOPING DEVICE, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of performing a developing process with sufficiently high development efficiency, while preventing a developer from being supplied so as to be firmly adsorbed onto a developer carrier, at a position where the developer is supplied to the developer carrier from a developer supply member when using a hopping developing system; a process cartridge; and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: The developing device is provided with a developer carrier 13a that has a plurality of first electrodes and second electrodes alternately formed on the surface or in the vicinity of the surface thereof along a running direction; and a developer supply member 13b that is arranged to contact the developer carrier 13a. An alternating electric field is formed between each of the first electrodes and second electrodes. The developer supply member 13b is applied with an alternating voltage at a frequency twice or more larger than a frequency of an alternating voltage applied to at least one of the first electrode and second electrode.
