PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for preventing or suppressing elution of radioactive substance from radioactive substance-containing particulate matter such as incineration fly ash.SOLUTION: A treatment method of radioactive substance-containing particulate matter is provided which includes: a washing step of washing combustion fly ash containing radioactive substance with a solvent using alcohol as the solvent, and eluting the radioactive substance; a solid-liquid separation step of separating the washed combustion fly ash and the solvent by a mechanical separation method; a wet-type coating step of contacting the combustion fly ash after the solid-liquid separation step with metal Ca suspension and coating the surface of the combustion fly ash with metal Ca particle; and a solid-liquid separation step of separating the combustion fly ash coated with the metal Ca particle and the metal Ca suspension by a mechanical separation method.
