Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter device that can safely detect a short circuit with a small current whether an electric motor is stopped or driven, if a drive circuit section short-circuits.SOLUTION: The inverter device includes a drive circuit section 22 powered by a drive battery 7, and a control circuit section 21 powered by a control battery 3. The control circuit section 21 includes: a constant voltage power supply 211a; a semiconductor element 215 connected between the constant voltage power supply 211a and the drive circuit section 22; a diode 214 having an anode connected to the semiconductor element 215 and a cathode connected to the drive circuit section 21; a voltage drop detection section 212a for detecting a drop of an output voltage of the constant voltage power supply 211a when the drive circuit section 21 short-circuits; and a relay control section 212b for opening the semiconductor element 215 and a relay 8 connected between the drive battery 7 and the diode 214 when the voltage drop detection section 212a detects a drop in the output voltage of the constant voltage power supply 211a.
