PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas temperature control method and a gas temperature control device for a gasification melting furnace capable of reliably controlling a temperature of gas introduced into a melting furnace from a gasification furnace.SOLUTION: In a gas temperature control method for controlling a temperature of gas flowing inside a gas introduction pipe 108 of a gasification melting furnace 100, the gas introduction pipe is supplied with air.
