Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving the slurry of distillation residue for a long time without rotting.SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: saccharifying the substrate being a biomass in a first reaction vessel to obtain a saccharified solution and biomass residue; transferring the saccharified solution and the biomass residue into a second reaction vessel; in the second reaction vessel, fermenting the saccharified solution by using a fermenting microorganism to obtain a fermented solution; distilling the fermented solution to obtain ethanol, recovering the slurry of distillation and adding calcium cyanamide to the slurry so that the concentration of nitrogen derived from calcium cyanamide becomes 0.08-0.8 wt%.
