END TAB FOR WELDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide end tabs for welding that are capable of suppressing generation of welding defects in welding beginning and terminal end parts.SOLUTION: An end tab for welding consists of metallic bevel pieces 3 and a ceramic substrate 2 for supporting the metallic bevel pieces 3, and is constructed so that an end part of a weld groove formed of a bevel surface 4a of a parent material 4 and a backing material 5 extends laterally along a welding line direction by the metallic bevel piece 3, and so that the end part of the extended weld groove 6 is dammed up by a barrier part 2a of the substrate 2. The metallic bevel pieces 3 are provided with a cut-off part 3a in a position of neighboring the backing material 5, and the bevel surface 4a is made to expose a portion contacting the backing material 5 and a neighboring portion thereof to a lateral side by the cut-off part 3a.
