PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector and a connector structure that are capable of obtaining high-quality transmission characteristics by improving accuracy in assembling between an optical fiber cable with a terminal and a connector housing.SOLUTION: If a ferrule 220 of an optical fiber terminal 210 is inserted into a ferrule insertion hole 111 of a female connector housing 130, a protrusion 221a of the ferrule 220 climbs over a protrusion 111a of the ferrule insertion hole 111 to move into the back. When a tip cylindrical part 221 of the ferrule 220 is inserted to a predetermined position set in the ferrule insertion hole 111, the tip cylindrical part 221 of the ferrule 220 is restricted to be in the predetermined position set in the ferrule insertion hole 111 by a climbing-over resistance applied when the protrusion 221a of the ferrule 220 climbs over the protrusion 111a of the ferrule insertion hole 111 even though the ferrule 220 tries to move to an extracting direction B for extracting the ferrule 220 from the ferrule insertion hole 111.
