Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave irradiation device which can irradiate a microwave with high efficiency by minimizing the energy loss and whose maintainability is excellent.SOLUTION: A microwave receiving part 6 which transmits a microwave guided through a waveguide 5 and introduces it into a container through the opening of the container comprises: a mounting seat 7 having a circular hole; a first connection member 8 which is mounted on the tube end of the waveguide 5 and has a microwave guiding passage (rectangular inner peripheral surface 8e) having a rectangular section whose inner size is almost the same as that of the waveguide 5; a second connection member 9 having an inside diameter to which the microwave guiding passage of the first connection member 8 is fitted; and a dielectric member 10 which is held between the mounting seat 7 and the second connection member 9.
