Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump capable of reducing a pressure-fed amount of fuel when atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value.SOLUTION: A fuel injection pump 100 including a plunger barrel 112 having a port hole P formed, and a plunger 111 installed inside the plunger barrel 112 for pressure-feeding fuel by slide motion of the plunger 111 is equipped with an electric actuator (electromagnetic solenoid 131) capable of changing over the port hole P between an open state and a closed state, and an air pressure sensor PS for detecting atmospheric pressure. The electric actuator (electromagnetic solenoid 131) is designed to put the port hole P in the opened state to reduce a pressure-fed amount of the fuel, when the atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value.
