Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent welding failure by sufficiently cooling electrodes even when the electrodes employed are thin, thereby putting the thin electrodes into practical use.SOLUTION: Cooling water is circulated in the inside of electrodes 10, 10' and in addition, the cooling water is sprayed to external surfaces of the electrodes 10, 10', thereby cooling the electrodes 10, 10'. Spraying conditions of the cooling water are set such that the cooling water adhered onto the external surfaces of the electrodes 10, 10' are entirely evaporated.
