LIGHTING DEVICE USING LED

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of suppressing a temperature rise of an LED element used in the lighting device and improving the brightness of the lighting device.SOLUTION: The lighting device comprises: an LED group formed by serially connecting 5 or more stages of LED circuits with LED elements; an AC power terminal for receiving supply of AC power; a rectification circuit that has an input terminal and an output terminal, rectifies an alternating current supplied to the input terminal and outputs the rectified current from the output terminal; and a capacitor. The capacitor and the input terminal of the rectification circuit are connected in series between the AC power terminals, and a charge/discharge current of the capacitor runs through the LED group through the rectification circuit to emit light of the respective LED elements provided in the LED group. The capacity of the capacitor is set to be 0.5 μF to 10 μF inclusive.
