PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To move an elevator car to a prescribed floor in an emergency.SOLUTION: In an elevator system including a control unit controlling the movement of the elevator car, a driving unit driving the elevator car, and a power supply unit supplying the power to the driving unit, the control unit controlling the movement of the elevator car obtains information on the amount of the supplied power being the amount of the power suppliable from a portable type power storage device when the portable type power storage device is connected thereto, determines a scheduled stopping floor being a floor on which the elevator car is urgently stopped on the basis of the current position of the elevator car, calculates the amount of moving power being the amount of power required to move the elevator car from the current position to scheduled stopping floor, supplies the power from the portable type power storage device to the driving unit when the amount of the moving power is smaller than the amount of the supplied power, and moves the elevator car to the scheduled stopping floor.
