Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle occupant protector configured to vary, when a movable seat is positioned in any of an airbag protective area and a non-airbag-protective area, a force limiter of a seat belt in accordance with the area, to protect an occupant with optimal restricting force, at the time of a vehicle collision.SOLUTION: A front passenger seat 18 is arranged so as to freely move between the airbag protective area P1 and the non-airbag-protective area P2. Whether the front passenger seat 18 is positioned in the airbag protective area P1 or is positioned in the airbag nonprotective area P2, is detected by a position detecting sensor. A retractor 50 of the seat belt 40 sets a low force limiter load when the front passenger seat 18 is positioned in the airbag protective area P1, and sets a high force limiter load when the front passenger seat 18 is positioned in the airbag nonprotective area P2.
