Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for carbon nanostructures allowed to be synthesized at high purity and high yield by a simple method, and to provide a carbon nanostructure obtained by the manufacturing method.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for fibrous carbon nanostructures is characterized by heating mixed gas of organic gas to be a carbon source and a sulfur-containing compound at 800°C or higher without using a metal-containing catalyst. A manufacturing method for fibrous carbon nanostructures is characterized by heating an organic substance which is liquid at ordinary temperature and normal pressure and used as a carbon source and/or a sulfur-containing compound which is liquid at ordinary temperature and normal pressure at 800°C or higher simultaneously in a gas state, and a carbon nanostructure obtained by the method is provided. The carbon nanostructures obtained by the manufacturing methods have a structure whose both ends are opened.
